Yale-New Haven’s inpatient cardiac units consistently rate among the highest in the hospital on patient satisfaction surveys, performing exceptionally well on overall satisfaction and understanding/sensitivity. The five inpatient cardiac units at YNHH include: a 14-bed cardiac intensive care unit, an 18-bed cardiothoracic intensive care unit, a 28-bed cardiac surgical unit, a 26-bed medical cardiology unit and a 25-bed cardiac care progressive unit that includes nine step-down beds.
