Chest Pain CenterAfter evaluation and testing in the Emergency Department, most patients complaining of chest pains can be treated in the Chest Pain Center. Cardiac imaging technology that provides three-dimensional images of the heart enables doctors to understand what is causing chest pain before they make a decision to admit a patient. Only a small percentage of those who come to the ED complaining of chest pain are actually experiencing a heart attack. For many, the center is able to answer the question about the pain's cause in less than a day without being admitted to the hospital. If you think you may be having a heart attack, dial 9-1-1.
