Dr. George Tellides received his medical degree from the University of
Witwatersrand, South Africa and PhD from the University of Oxford,
England. He served his residency in general surgery at Yale-New Haven
Hospital and clinical fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Brigham
and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Tellides serves as an associate professor of cardiothoracic surgery
at Yale School of Medicine, is Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the VA
Hospital, West Haven, specializes in cardiothoracic surgery, and has a
research interest in graft arteriosclerosis and other forms of
immune-mediated vascular remodeling.
